Giving Thanks

This year I believe my blessing are simple. I am thankful for an amazing family, great friends, good health and new career opportunities. I am thankful for the chance to travel (a.k.a vacation two states over) and the chance to exercise (a.k.a. relieve stress) on a consistent basis. I am thankful for how my kids make me smile every day and how they show signs of growing into intelligent, caring and beautiful people (inside and out). I am thankful for my Keurig. I am thankful for a decade of marriage.

But also worth noting is that I am very thankful that after six years toys no longer consume and clutter my living room and dining room. We have re-directed as much as we could to the basement, their bedrooms or goodwill, and reduced their games, puzzles, crayons and Barbies into one bookshelf with several decorative bins. And after frequent visits from Chuck, deliveryman extraordinaire from Macy's Furniture, I finally, finally feel somewhat like a grown up.
