If I didn't know better, I would think that today must be Christmas because Alex’s edible Advent calendar is already out of chocolates. However, that is the only sign (other than matching pajamas and the 21st Annual Lebanon Antique Horse-Drawn Carriage Holiday Parade) that Yultide is upon us, because we still don’t have our tree, outside lights or any decorations up yet. So I guess we are lucky that a religious-inspired candy box was in the house to kick-off the season. And we are even more lucky that our children do not expect the big guy in a red suit to show up hours after their last bite. We are unprepared in that department, as well.
