Hopefully our Last Days of Snow

We definitely have Olympic fever (glued to NBC every night). And we had some vacation time burn. Add the fact that we have given up on trying to punish our kids into behaving, we decided to buy their love and respect (works for the grandparents, right?).

Last week we spent 90 dollars and 90 minutes at Perfect North Slopes Tubing Hill. Andy and Alex had a few good runs. Avery – our resident Evel Knievel – decided this was the right time to start being conservative, and after two questionable trips down the fresh groomed sledding slopes and a much drawn out protest at the top of the hill, I had to talk her down for a final ride saying it was our only way to get Larossa’s pizza (and it literally was … the seventeen year old employee told me there really is no other way down). But we learned all fun stops at the snow and chaos begins in the wantabe lodge cafeteria line. Next time, we are pulling a Dan Foley and bringing a cooler in the car with age appropriate treats for all.
