School, soccer practice, snakes on the roof, bike rides, dinner with the Cox family from Denver and ladies’ night out were all trumped this month by an unexpected visit from the Miami Township Fire and Rescue team. Three firemen visited our house last weekend and I couldn’t tell if they were looking at me with disappointment because they did not find any carbon monoxide (just a faulty detector) or because my kids were wearing flashing, fish-shaped Jagermeister buttons that I acquired at Shooter’s the night before. Still not sure why the Jager girls were in the suburbs, and still haven’t made it to Target to buy the new CO detector. Better get on it.Click here to see more pictures from August 2009.
