WALL-E: Now Playing in Theaters for Alex

Not sure if we did this too soon or too late, but Andy took Alex to see his first feature length film in the theater last weekend (or as Alex put it, he saw WALL-E on the really, really big TV). The outing was a success and he was able to introduce Alex to all the important movie rituals and rules:

  1. Order movie tickets online (it is 2008)
  2. Select a PIXAR film (can’t beat the animation; can’t beat the humor for kids AND adults)
  3. Buy $5 bag of M&Ms (left overs will be used as potty training incentives)
  4. Do not eat all your popcorn before the movie starts (not a chance with 25 minutes of previews)
  5. No talking during the movie (definitely not a chance given a three year olds inherit ability to ask “why” every five seconds)
  6. Remain in your seat throughout the entire movie (it’s possible, but Benadryl helps)
  7. Ask daddy when you can see your next movie while leaving the theater (guess we are going back!)
